Firstly, I am very excited that it my book is published!

It is a story about the importance of knowing who you are and where is home. It spans three generations, is set against the beautiful Northumbrian coast and is peppered with Viking mythology and stories. It is a story about the power and potency of love and the insecurity and emptiness when it isn’t felt.

I love how creativity just creates. It has no boundaries, and it has a power that has a life of its own. When I started the novel, the main character was going to be a woman. But as the story unfolded this changed, which surprised me. My head and my hand working together and letting the story come to life, has been a truly wonderful experience for me. It has encouraged me to trust my instincts and just go with it! I think in a world where being logical, sensible and doing what is expected or needed, writing brings me freedom.
